Luke Martin C.Ht, HG.Dip.P, MHGI
I work privately with adults who want to feel calmer, more confident, and more in control — particularly when stress, habits, or emotional patterns have started to feel repetitive or difficult to shift.
Many of the people I work with are capable, thoughtful, and self-aware. They often understand what they want to change — but find that logic, effort, or willpower alone haven’t been enough to create lasting movement.
That’s where my work focuses.
I use hypnotherapy alongside practical, solution-focused psychological approaches to help people work with habits and emotional responses at the level they actually operate — beneath conscious effort.
My interest in this work is personal as well as professional. Earlier in my own life, I experienced how difficult certain emotional and behavioural patterns can be to change through insight alone. Discovering hypnotherapy showed me a different way of working — one that helped loosen patterns that had previously felt fixed.
Since qualifying in 2007, I’ve continued to develop my approach through ongoing training and clinical experience. I work calmly, collaboratively, and at a pace that respects each person’s situation and capacity for change.
Over the years, I’ve supported people with a wide range of concerns — including habit change, stress-related patterns, fears and phobias, confidence, and emotional overwhelm — always with an emphasis on clarity, structure, and realistic progress rather than pressure or promises.
My work integrates hypnotherapy with elements of Human Givens Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), NLP, mindfulness, and positive psychology. I favour approaches that are practical, evidence-informed, and focused on helping people feel more at ease in their day-to-day lives.
What I value most is seeing people leave sessions feeling steadier, clearer, and more capable of responding differently — not because they’re forcing change, but because something has genuinely shifted.
